My background includes:
As a lifetime athlete, I am uniquely familiar with the role sports play at an elite, amateur and junior level. As a Psychologist, I have over 20-years of experience in counseling with pre-adolescents to older adults. As a Certified Mental Performance Consultant, I have the education and experience needed to combine best practices for your athlete or team. One of my greatest joys is working with athletes.
There are various functions a Sport Consultant can fulfill, including but not limited to:
I welcome questions regarding my rates as well as my philosophy and strategies for working with individuals and teams interesting in gaining the added strength of developing mental fitness. My experiences include working locally with teams, programs, and individual athletes, and I also provide remote individual work for athletes who travel.

- PhD in Clinical Psychology licensed in Maryland (MD #04043)
- Certified Mental Performance Counselor through AASP (CMPC #593)
- Ongoing Pro career in Handball (Ranked 3rd by the WPH: 40+ Pro 2018, 30 National Master Titles)

- Published author (quarterly) in Handball Magazine, the official magazine of the United States Handball Association
- President and founder, MAC-SAPP (Mid-Atlantic Consortium of Sport and Performance Psychology)

- Developing mental strategies (visualization, self-talk and relaxation techniques);
- Overcoming obstacles (e.g., fears, perfectionism) and rising to meet one’s potential;
- Coping with the pressures of competition that can lead to anxiety and/or depression;
- Dealing with difficult parents, coaches and teammates
- Recovering from injuries; dealing with athletic retirement;
- Keeping up with an exercise program and staying invested;
- Increasing motivation to compete and learn, particularly during periods of adversity.
- Coping with disappointment, change, the business of elite sport, and failures
